Piano concerto no 1 wip

    Quick glance at the score... the piano part isn't written idiomatically. Have you tried playing this yourself? Glancing at the first couple pages, it's not impossible, but extremely awkward.

    One thing that can help is to look at transcriptions of symphonic works for piano.




    Start at 1:14. Notice how the right hand and left hand both will cover a rapid 16th passage -- it helps the dynamics stay consistent and less technically demanding.
