1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

In other FB group i received some questions about shimmer effects. It is mostly from Mike's masterclasses Rhythm and percussion in particular. To create a shimmer effect I usually (try to) write 2 conflicting arpeggios, one in triplets one in synch with beats. (for example, violins in triplets with vibes + clarinet and flutes in beat + some pad (could be horns or trombones) to glue them) There is always a lot of room for counter point. I wait usually for second presentment as this one is string driven I used some oboes and eng-horns on counter point. Time to put this one into bed. I feel the need for some 900-strings and epic horns these days ))
