Synchron Woodwinds demo

    Hi everyone!
    I've been working on a piece to test Synchron Woodwinds the last few weeks.
    I also sent the piano version to Mike for the last Unleashed(and got roasted real good on the first part ah ah).



    If anyone here is interested in this library, the only thing I added is the MIR Pro room tone, Liquidsonics' Cinematic Rooms for a nice reverb tail and Waves' Kramer Master Tape.
    Otherwise, it's the library's natural sound.

    So far I really love it! I've been a long time VSL user but honestly I was tired to work on the placement or to use MIR Pro instead of having libraries with different mic positions but now I'm really happy, after the next update(which will add Flute 2, Oboe 2, Clarinet 2 and Bassoon 2) it will become my main woodwinds library!

    Concerning the music itself, it was composed as if it was for a short animation film.

    Hope you enjoy the demo, don't hesitate to give a feedback, it's always good to know what's right or wrong!

    I always like woodwind pieces. Here is my first impression:

    In the opening section, I began to hear a melody, but it quickly dissolved into seemingly random notes, which was confusing. In the middle section, the sleigh bells and other percussion overpowers the rest of the instruments, at least on the laptop speakers through which I am listening. The sleigh bells are used too much. The slow section near the end could use more motion or rhythmic variation, as the whole note sustains became tiresome after a while. The last section is the strongest, and most enjoyable. I like how you created contrast with slow and fast sections. It was easy to imagine some kind of story being told with the changes from section to section.

    Damn I didn't get the notification!
    I see what you mean for the beginning, I might agree with the sensation of random notes.
    Well concerning the sleigh bells and celesta, I reworked the piece with the VSL synchron percs and I feel that it's way better now, I think the instruments I was using(from the old EW Symphonic Orchestra) were not the best. Now there's a better sensation of depth. I also polished the mix.

    Yeah that's what I wanted when I wrote it, I had three fairy tales "The Little Match Girl", "The Tin Soldier" and "The Nutcracker", I developped a little story and I composed the music following it.
