1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Trip to Earth from 'Superman'

Discussion in 'Score Study Resources' started by Andrew Christie, Jan 13, 2019.

  1. Anyone know where Johnny got his orchestration for this cue? Granted the actual score isn't available, I'm sure he referenced one of the greats that I can dig into.

Here's another cue, which is similar in some ways but much more grand, from Harry Potter:

  2. I think I'm hearing some Stravinsky in there with the woodwinds for sure

  3. Holy shit - listening to Pines and Fountains of Rome. He really drew upon that for Superman didn't he? Geez Mike wasn't wrong. I know which scores I'm picking up next!

  5. Respighi will not let you down. You will also unlock your grasp of the richness in the mid range after going through some of his scores. I think I have a couple of thesis that you may find useful, sort of like a travel map. Although you can probably find those on google too.

  8. Interesting. Can you provide a link ?
