1. Didja accidentally blow through the whole, "We're using our real names" thing on registration? No problem, just send me (Mike) a Conversation message and I'll get you sorted, by which I mean hammered-into-obedient-line because I'm SO about having a lot of individuality-destroying, oppressive shit all over my forum.

Love music, especially composing and performing it. Love art and architecture. Love physical exercise. Yoga, meditation, inspiring people etc...
I started playing the recorder, then attempted the violin (almost broke my neck), decent piano skills, I used to be very very good on the flute, now going back to the various recorders (an instrument should be made of wood right?)
I also invested in a Duduk (google it) and frame drum (definitely google it).
I plan to invest in other exotic instruments such as the Nay (arabic flute) the Riq (middle eastern cymbal-drum) and a Bendir(small frame drum with strings attached). I plan to play the Bendir handheld and also muted with a stick (like an Irish Bodhran).
My main musical inspirations are John Williams, Beethoven, Mozart, Bear Mccreary, Danny Elfman, Howard Shore, Vivaldi, Chopin, Bach, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, etc... I have never been a Hans Zimmer fan except for his Sherlock Holmes soundtrack. I also don't get Gustav Mahler (makes me fall half asleep).
If you want to know more just ask!
